Have noticed a bit of steam coming from what looks like the side the radiator if the temp guage moves above 1/2 way.
Are there any ways to remedy this short of replacing the radiator? Are products like radweld worth a go or are they just a waste of time?
Car is a 1990 mk1 cabby clipper btw
Thanks

Don't use any of that bud it's a pain in the arse to clean out just get a new radiator shouldn't be too expensive and should be something you could do yourself

Yeah that's what I thought. Only just flushed the system and topped up with G12 so don't want to have to go through and flush it again. Thanks

Many products out there will promise to seal the problem up but you'll get your money's worth if you simply just pop in to your local scrapyard and get a used radiator for a mare 20quid or less and about 15 on labour replacement.

Radweld works fine, never had a problem with it.
I wouldn't recommend getting a second hand radiator, it could be just as bad, fit a new one if you don't want to seal it, they aren't that expensive.

just get a new pattern radiator.
getting them off ebay or a braker just isnt worth it due to the bother / cost ratio
