just a normal vw one they seem to last pretty well and unless you got some outrageous power mods will be fine

thing is if you don't know anyone that can do it, it will always be a lot of money, as it involves a lot of time and effort to drop the gear box out and get the clutch off.

It is possible to do it in your driveway, on a jack but believe me you won't be able to move for a few days after due to the demands of rolling around trying to move a gearbox around.

Local clutch specialists should be around £200 i got mine done for £160 for a genuine clutch and the fitting!!! Shop around as there is always someone else willing to do the work for less!!

if you got a mate who's handy with a spanner get the car up on stands and get stuck in, me & my cousin had a go and we swore so much, the gear box is right b1tch to get off just takes some patients and getting tha angle right.

clutch 80 quid from gsf labour free, not able too get of sofa for two days priceless

yea lads thx for ure ideas , the thing was i just reduit the cylinder head and most of the rest of the car, interior the lot, as it was a crash damaged 100 pound motor, but i just cant bring my self 2 go and fit a clutch ,so  looks like just stumping up the dosh is the answer,
