Title: Selling cars you love!
Post by: rob.043 on 02 February 2012, 19:04
Just sold the first Subaru Ive had, it was only meant to be a short term thing, a winter work horse, and I knew i would never use/finish what I wanted to do with my mk2.... So its off to a new home after a fabulous 4 month romance!

They have become a bit of pikey pocket rocket, as they provide affordable horsepower- which is a shame when you see whats done to some examples- but it dosent detract from them being a stunning car to cover ground in.

Have to agree. Subaru's to me have always been the rally car driven by Colin McRae. After that, every time I saw one on the road I got all excited. And the noise they made...oooh that was a good noise.

New Subaru's aren't quite the same in either the looks or noise department - although they are faster.

I'd quite happily take a P1.

You can very easily beat the sound of a scoob, it comes with a VW badge and a proper engine!

Errr, yes you can.

Put the noise from a Subaru into the back of a VW camper, with a 2' long exhaust.

That'll do it.

Porsche boxers sound like a cross between a washing machine on spin-cycle and a jet taking off.  It's a particular noise, but not one I'd say I love and it's not nearly as rorty as a Subaru boxer 4.  I'll definitely take a 928 with an X-pipe replacement in it though.

I dont sell cars I love!

This.

Should have held on to this:

Which is still owned by the bird who bought from me, who lives in central Bristol.

Still almost wish I hadn't unloaded my T25 Syncro Doublecab.  I started a UK-wide club with that vehicle.
