So apart from the colour i guess no one knows it?

I found it for sale back in 2010 on another forum. Needs plenty of work but was cheap enough.

Agreed the colour is a bit different  :undecided:

Nothing wrong with the colour, Ive been looking for a bonnet for mine on ebay. Its quite rare

It looks cosmetically in good condition, what work needs to be done, mechanical?

Manifold gasket, idle issues, new windscreen (chip that might turn into a crack), blister around door handle, split in body just above exhaust. Interior is tidy. Engine was rebuilt not long ago. All fixable by myself apart from the screen.

I can weld in new panels/repair sections no problem so happy with it.

I've got 2 mk3's so glad to finally own a proper gti. Its going in the garage saturday and i've got a week off work so will strip and access whats required.

Looking forward to getting it sweet.

Screen is really easy to change. It's not bonded. I'm sure there would be a guide on here somewhere.

thinks i recognise that golf,  may have been my cousins one at one point  reg number looks very famiar and leeds direction is where it went when sold.

if it is that car it's a good one or at least .   want to hope its got the engine and box in that it was sold with as it was a really keen motor but had a bumpy idel ever after it was built.  few tweeks done around the car as well

Doesn't look like its been in Leeds till I got it. Most of its life was down south with Birmingham and surrounding areas being most common. I believe it is a good un, just gotta sort the idle and a rust hole above the exhaust. Could do with a respray. Should be done for summer though and it will live in the garage from now on.

Do you have any names I've got all the previous history and bits of the v5 for new owners.
