Title: New GTI owner in Mansfield
Post by: Kirkbyman on 02 February 2012, 18:08
Hi,I have just purchased my first VW,a Golf GTI 2L Petrol,it is 05 reg with 37500 miles(FVWSH)last serviced at 31000 miles over a year ago.I am looking to have it serviced in the next month.Anyone know of decent independant in Mansfield or Nottingham area or if Newbolds(VW)is OK.VW is quoting £379 for a full service,a minor service and two MOT`s.....seems OK,but is it?.New to VW so would like any input.

Cheers

Chas

If you can get fixed price servicing from Newbolds I would go for it you can't beat it for value for money.

I have used Newbolds in Mansfield and they were much better than my London stealer in Battersea.

Remember make sure the cambelt has been done and if not get the water pump done at the same time.

Welsome to the club and good luck.
