thinking of buying a mk4 1.4 mainly because of insurance, does anyone have any info or photos of a clean and decent one?

TBH if you can deal with a smaller car you would be better off with a Polo or Ibiza a lot lighter than a mk4 better on fuel and acceleration  :smiley:

I'm used to a 1.2 Corsa B so can't be much worse man

also is it the 1.4 or 1.6 which have terible gear box's that seem to die alot?

My brother had a 1.4 match, was really nice tbh, well specced and a nice ride, slow but speed ain't everything! Money is.. :huh:

i've got a 1.4 as an ongoig project, just keep an eye out for the general rust areas as the 1.4s dont tend to be as well loved in there previous lives as the gtis ;)

I'd avoid the 1.4 very slow! Ive had 2 1.6s Good cars really. Not quick by anymeans. But nice place to be. If you want quicker you gotta go smaller for a better power to weight ratio.
