hi iv just bought a passat...i know its not a mk4 but its the same difference. it stinks of actual liquid diesel in the cabin...any ideaS???

Have you or the previous owners spilt any inside? Only thing I can think of... :undecided:

thats the only thing i can put it donw too :/ ... only got the car tuesday so i dont know but iv checked for leaks etc and i cant find anything but the carpets all stink..... if its spilt i spose its hard to clean off? but i dunno

fuel leak from one of the injectors maybe as my m8s had this prob also it was one of the link pipes from 1 injector to the other causing the smell inside the car, but this was on a sh!troen diesel
maybe this will help.

Maybe had a jerry can of diesel and spilt some.
