Hi ive got a corrado g6o and the front engine mount has bust, ive been told that i could use a front engine mount from a mk2 gti, is this true?
cheers steve
-
get a solid rubber mount from a 2.0 16v corrado from EuroCarParts
-
it will indeed but it'd be worth getting a heavy duty one as its in a g60. i use one of these:

which was designed for a g60 corrado. i can get you one from the guy who makes them if you want?
-
i've answerd this in your other post saying about a solid engine mount designed for the g60 corrado if your interested?
-
The frony engine mount is on it's way out on my MK2 golf. Can I use a solid rubber one?
-
yes you can also use the corrado 2.0 solid rubber mount
-
EuroCarParts actually list the same part numbers for mk2 16v & corrado 16v & corrado G60
Part Nums
33740250
33740251
one of these is the front hydro mount, and the other the front solid rubber mount. just make sure you ask which is which!

a solid mount will tranfer the vibration/pulling force onto the front crossmember bushes, so replace them at the same time if your gonna fit one of these. they are meant to be a good job though!
-
Hi how much for the mount, could i see a pic from the other side
Thanks Steve
-
errr not right now, but mind you it looks pretty much the same from either side, fits using the existing mounting holes, proper job!!! i think they are £70+p&p
-
Hi Mr Brown, can email me a image of the front engine mount for £50.00
cheers steve

-
yeah they're good. not cheap mind but alot lighter than i thought they would be.

I got a full set of Vibra Technics and i think there great. Minimal engine movement with no added vibrations. Cant get much better than that. But i have to agree they aint cheap.
