Title: Mk3 golf Colour Code?

Trying to find the colour of my car as I need a new tailagate.
Unfortionately the sticker that noramlly has the code located in the boot is un-readable.
I dont have the factory book for it eather.

Is there any other way, via chassis number perhaps?

It is there as part of the Chassis number but cant recall which bit.
Might be worth ringing local VW dealer, with full number in front of you and asking them what section the code is.

Phone dealer with registration number, that should be sufficient for them to bring up the colour code

could you not check on the DVLA website, or it could be on the v5 document.

howver im not sure if it would just say blue or if it would say chagill blue or whatever!

Mines mystic blue but looks purple and is down as just blue on the log book

yeah i just checked mine, says blue aswell, but wen i look up paint code its chagill,

meh was worth a shot atlest  :huh:

Remove the drivers headlight and theres a panel on the inner wing.

Its stated on there.

I can get the paint code just need a reg I work at an approved Vw Repairer :)
