Either have an oval plug on the back, or a rectangular one. That's pretty much it. Mine were oval plug and therefore a straight plug and play in my Golf Gti loom.
-
That and obviously the shape of them. They bolt straight onto a golf front panel. But the bonnet interferes with them.
-
basicly the crack is
i have a vento front end with hid's in
i have my mot next week and want rid of em anyhow
it is a plug and play kit

i see what you mean. dont you just need to put standard bulbs back in and take your HID kit out?
-
yes please
-
how do i do it and what do i need nothings been chopped looks plug and play
-
not 100% never taken HIDs out. would of thought you just unplug your HID bulbs and ballasts, leaving you with the old bulb recess' for normal bulbs ? best bet is to have a fiddle, youll know soon enough if something missing
-
any idea what bulbs i need
-
sorry no, but a search on here or google should sort you out with an answer :)
-
Think the vento headlight is a H4 bulb.
-
will i not need sides aswell or do they only use 1
-
side lights are a seperate bulb, sometimes a w5w capless, sometimes a 6w capped.
You should just be able to pull the HID bulb out, disconnect the ballast and shizz from the wiring loom, then plug a halogen bulb in.

Remove all this
Then do this

You should have one of these connected to the power supply on the ballast

Plug that onto the back of the new halogen bulb. Job done
