Bless them, have a couple months left on my contract which I rang to cancel (early termination fee applied) and the guy asked me why, I mentioned about the deal Tesco offer which is £12.50 for 500 mins, unlimited text and a gig of data, but he offered me £10.25 for 600 mins, 3000 texts and 500mb data, which all is within my limits from records.
Rolling monthly contract so result really. Gone from a £42.50 contract to something £30 less just for ringing up.

Well done Shady!
Should save you a small fortune on all those gay chatlines.

Can't beat the mistake o2 have made with my contract when they reduced it :lipsrsealed: :lipsrsealed:

You will find that most/all of the phone companies offer very good value for money if you dont upgrade your phone.
A large proportion of the money from new contracts goes towards the cost of the phone they give you.
iirc some networks offer 5000mins for as little as £20pm

I'm still on the old O2 600 mins 600 txts & unlimited data all for £22 a month rolling monthly contract.
The problem is that if I change my phone to a newer one (currently on iphone 3gs) my contract will change.

seems like a good deal, reminds me actually i need to ring tmobile and get them to reduce my minuits, curently paying for 900 a month when i only use about 9  (hate talking on phones)

Basically you saved money as you didn't get a new phone. So not really a fair comparison!

The deal I got is meant to be £20.50 so I'm still happy, plus I'm able to get a discount on a new phone in
November without having a long term contract. Seems fair to me.
