AFAIK you need the inlet mani and a custom link pipe...
-
That's a deisel set up so woul that work on petrol ??
-
So it's more hassle than worth wile?? No go then just get fmic
-
If its a stage 2 map on it do it. If not you will get LAG.
-
It's having a ko4 put on march so think THS fmic is wot I am going for
-
you would only able have a ths fmic if you go for the ko4-001 or other variaties that are with the ko3 hosing. i have suffered the same mate i currently have a forge fmic and cannot fit a ko4 from a s3, tt or lcr because the ko4 downpipe
-
bit early for you is it?
the ko4 downpipe obstructs the THS or Forge FMIC boost piping
-
Dint think it would though wot a ball ake don't eney think go strate forward on a golf AAAHHH!!!
-
just run it a different route?
probably have to buy some silicone joiners and extra tubing mind
what other way would you take it? it can be done i suppose but way to much hassle, you might as well get a toyosports one or if you wanted to be really dareing get a 97-98 sharan large port inlet manifold(inlet on the passenger side) then fit a K04 and a seat leon cupra r/S3 FMIC from THS or Forge
-
Darksider, you just need to go a different route, its not that hard.
I have a forge FMIc on mine. I will try to find a pic but my cgharge pipe essentially comes up over the turbo and back down the other side. Others go straight forward between angine bnlock and airbox/battery area - that route would suit that S3 set up I would have thought.

im no saying it wouldnt be hard but why would you spend £500-£700 on a FMIC only to spend more to bodge some piping together????? like i said you might as well got for a toyosports one

Got 2 intercoolers, all the pipe work, and inlet manifold, and a 4bar fuel pressure reg for £60 not bad
-
Twin intercooler setup is sh!t
Much better going for the FMIC

if you care to correct my grammar - please do so.
If you meant the plethora of typos, then thats a bit different. I was typing whilst working on something else so banged out the words and posted, not proof reading it.
-
Fmic is ok if u got £500+ but the thing is iv paid £60 for the hole set up so a big diff there
-
I thought a few folks found a benefit from the s3 set up, maybe over on uk-mkivs? Who knows, you are going to find out! Can't be sneezed at for that price anyway.
It will be good to see how you find the fitting and also the performance afterwards.

It's off to the garage to be fitted with all the ither stuff like ko4, s3 injecters, walbro fuel pump, 4 bar fuel reg, exhausted,, all being done same day but will take pics of it all being done so u ppl can see,, theme from there it goes to chesterfield for its custom map and then on the rollers and show u ppl wot I'm pushing shout be good
