Title: Poor remap
Post by: scarr89 on 30 January 2012, 17:40
My bro booked  his car in for a remap, the company came to do it, put it on the rollers first and did a scan or whatever they did, and it had already been mapped, so they could not do another...

The car (130PD) achieved 142bhp and 280ishlbft on the rollers...now that is a poor map right? As I have read about people getting ~170 out of a 130.

Now can he get another remap, what would a company have to do to remap it again? Can you just 'delete' the old map and say throw a REVO map on there?

Thank you please.

Strange...as they said they could not re remap it...My bro is down in Plymouth, so it is a long to come for a remap.  :undecided:

If he went to Alan Jeffreys then they couldnt tune a fecking guitar! They are Jap "specialists" apparently, but I've only ever heard bad stories about them. It would deffo benefit him to travel mate.

That is where he went...I heard good things about the garage. Oh well...Think he will be making a trip to Rtech in the near future.
