I'v just purchased a shark fin antenna and will be fitting it once arrived. My question is what is the best way to remove the Mk4 OEM base unit off the antenna?
-
undo a nut under the headlining mate
-
Cheers daz will it just pull off then mate?

Okat thanks.. Yeah will get some before and after shots mate

I am 99% sure you will need an aerial adaptor as the standard aerial lead is different to aftermarket.

Yes it is, so no issues with fitting, most sharkfins have the standard type plug.

Id be happy with a blanking plug for mine, I never use the aerial and I hate the look of it lol
If anyone knows if anywhere sells them?
when I say a blanking plug I mean if you unscrew the aerial, I want to leave the base but capp the end if that makes sense :)
