I have a problem with opening my boot.
When i try and open the flap it wont make the usual noise and release.
Any ideas, and cost

Happened to me but sorted itself out after a trip on a rough road.

For info, there was a wiring fault between the boot and back of car.
The wires are located at the top left hand side of the boot as it is open underneath a rubber seal.
If you can open this you can see if any of the wires have broke, it seems to be a common fault.
The wires operate boot, wiper, scoosher, lights.
It cost me a grand total of £15 for 5 minutes work. I wonder what a Stealer would have taken.

Mark, am I right in assuming then that when your boot stopped working your wipers, scoosher and boot brake light also back stopped working? Mine packed up last night and I need to investigate later when I get home from work. My wipers, brake light etc all still work.
I have the same problem as you though in that it doesn't make the sound and wont open. Have got my back seats down and have to clamber (not very graciously might I add) over them and manually release the boot, which as you can imagine, is a massive pain in the arse. You also couldn't have picked a worse time for the boot to break as Im moving house and need to transport a load of stuff in my boot
