Apart from thermostats. Ive replaced two with ones supplied by ECP, and both have been faulty on receipt. Got one from VW and now all good.

Can't comment on parts quality as they'd only ship to my cardholder address which isn't much use as I work during the week :(

Sorry,

Thats been company policy for the past 2 years for insurance purposes. Since we launched Click & Collect - The amount of customers complaining dropped heavily, however there are still a few we cant help.

However, if you are a long-term forum member, drop me a PM and we'll sort something out :)

WTF...... I've just been to eurocarparts... asked for a set of HT ignition leads for my AGG Gti 8v Engine....

They guy looks on his computer.... goes and gets the leads. great. £20.70..... I go home....

I pop the bonnet to fit the leads....and find the Coil lead to the dizzy cap is too small in this set .... ohh great. Another 6 mile trip back to EurocarParts, I asked the guy 'I specifically asked for AGG leads' he said these are the ones for your car 'so the computer says'. I said... no they say 2E and ADY... the coil lead is too small.

he checks afew other part numbers and finds a proper AGG set..... but there is no Coil Lead supplied with it??? All other sets for other engine codes have the coil lead supplied.

so i decide to take my money and run.

Does anyone know exactly what part number i need for my AGG engine and if the coil lead is supplied aswell.

ARGH!!!!

I got these Beru ones from vwspares recently to go with Beru sparks:-

http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=63

Great quality and fit.

My last ones were from ecp (forget which make) and when I was last at an independent VW garage the mechanic he said they were cheap and poor fitting.

Have had good stuff from ecp, just make sure you go for branded stuff

ok i'll have a look into them. cheers.

quick question.... My Ignition Coil lead is a 90Degree bend on the coil and a Straight on the Dizzy.

I've noticed on some leads that they are 90Degrees on both ends... Will this fit ok on the dizzy or not??

Cheers.

the worst thing about euro car parts are the guys behind the counter, I only go there if I know what I'm ordering looks like so I can check it. My local place has 2 counter men, one is great always helpful and knows what hes doing, but the other one when you order something he looks at the screen like hes never seen it before then comes back with about 5 different parts one of which has around a 50% chance of being what you ordered

if you can when you order parts take the old part in with you so you can check it against the new part

personally I've never had to return anything to them unless it was the wrong part, but after learning my lesson about finding out what it looks like first I've not been back with any problems

Notice the coil lead has 90Degree bends on both ends. Will these fit ok, as the ones on my car now (probably original) has a 90Degree bend on the coil and a straight on the dizzy. hmmm....
