na im not into wagen type cars hatchbacks or small salloons!
-
I wouldn't mind either of these DC5 Type R or a S15 Spec R

for the wife
-
Sold the golf for a civic type R last week and i thaught the golf was a nice drive untill i drove the civic home, its the best move ive ever made.
-
S15 convertible
Nah s2k if its a convertible then charge it
-
So you rate the civic was the golf mapped? Much power difference??
-
Id definately go S2000... but between civc and integra... its gotta be INTEGRA
-
DC-5 beats EP-3 in just about every aspect. Better handling, more power (iirc?), more practicality and much less common.
Even a DC-2 would be a better bet IMO than a Civic Type R EP-3.
-
Insrance is a lot higher on a DC5 though, better choice of the two. FN2 can be had for under £10k now
-
Intergras give me wood. Much nicer looking than the Civics imo. Only thing is I think that gash red interior a lot of them (all of them?) come with is terrible
-
MPS

Jap spec CTR was more powerful. Think by around 17bhp. Plus better seats as standard etc

and lsd in the white ctr's

Only in japan due to higher Ron, they make the same power once on our stuff. LSD is only benefit, but then they are a few insurance groups higher. Seats are the same as the premier edition models.

Are you not thinking of the FN2 Championship White Edition with the LSD?
At any rate, the DC-5 beats a Civic in my books, unless it's a Mugen Civic but then there's the Mugen DC-5
Not to knock the MPS R32, but for me it doesn't quite capture the essence of Jap in the same way that a Type R does. Don't get me wrong, the engine in the MPS is great - plenty of power and torque, but when I think of Jap I instantly think of high revs. That's Type R territory.
-
JDM EP3 came with LSD, its why the FN2 version got it.
-
Ah, my mistake then.
-
I went jap and never looked back, the revs just keep climbing..........
Strange when you see what a german car with the same size lump puts out compaired to a jap one....
Integra for sure........ but there's loads of fun to be had..
Altezza (Beams)
Celica 190
RX8's with a good service history?
350z?
Or you could go nuts..
Supra
R33
S15...
-
Accord Type R.
-
I think I may be going towards jap after the golf, possibly either a B16 civic or S13 silvia, just got to save although I do have a few plans for the golf aswell..
-
im looking at the civic more atm as budget can be hand for a few thousound less and insurance is less haha
-
Don't knhow insurance is less and ain't it still group 17??
-
me neither the integra came back dearer but to add salt in the wund i can insure a scooby for a little less than the civic type r now for some reason haha!

An STI?! If its a WRX then they are slow and thirsty so makes sense.
-
a wrx mate my mates got one running the sti blower and got a read out on the dyno last week 350bhp i would be over the moon with that haha
-
Well, yes but thats modded so expect a higher premium with it!
You can pick up supercharged CTR's now for below 7k but you are looking at more insurance. Though 300bhp + with its weight would own a 350bhp wrx/sti
-
yea i get what you mean mate but its the noise scoobys make they get to me its that noise i love to hear haha!! but at the end of the day the scooby is already charged thts the way i look at it
-
More things to go wrong with boosted over N/A as well
I hate the noise of subarus, as soon as i hear it i know some c*nt will be driving it with a stupid cap on, low and behold as it appears round the corner, doing 20mph and making more noise than boeing 747 at take off, a driver with a stupid cap and 'that lean' they do
-
they aint all like that but thats personal choose yea but so many people online have gone down the ctr route to only get rid a year later for a jap car with a blower
-
That just means they wanted more power though, same for most cars. You need to own a decent N/A car at some point, and the E46 M3 is still a lot to run, CTR is the next best (just behind the R32 imo)
