i was driving home from work today and once i reached 60its fine but if i accelerate anymore i get a vibration from my front passenger side wheel.
when i say vibration i mean as if the wheel isnt balanced but it is.
-
Lost the weights so now its out of balance? Wheel nuts all tight?
-
or buckled wheel
-
check both walls of the tyre passanger front was getting vibration from 50mph upwards i had an egg on the inside tyre wall.
-
I was thinking It could be a buckled wheel sticking brake or bottom ball joint or anything suspension wise. My plans tonight = destroyed the ill have to get it up on my ramp and have a closer inspection. The car comes first

I had a wheel bearing gone once on a non vag car that did the same thing........... Worth a look
-
Wheel bearing tend to squeek till they collapse and then you know about it, I remember mine collapsing on the a2 5min from home in the polo
-
Just back from my garage. i jacked up the car and spun the wheel and the noise coming from the gearbox/drive shaft area sounds like broken metal..? :undecided: but it drove 5 miles there and 5 miles back and runs ok apart from vibration from the passenger side.

Cv joint?
-
wheel hub nut not on tight?
-
Get underneath and grab the drive shafts one at a time and wiggle them to check for play.
I had a similar wobble on my last gti and one shaft had a good 1cm of play in it!!!
