Title: 1.8T AGU PCV
Post by: james2 on 26 January 2012, 22:52
Changed it yesterday the plastic pipe that goes into oilfilter housing had broke in 2 pieces , on the rubber seal and half way down it.Also the rubber pipe from inlet manifold had a split before the bleed valve. Do you think it made a different fixing it apart from oil leaking out of it ?.

leaks anywhere in that area can cause lumpy idle, loss of power and poor fuel economy

I think you will be lucky with the oil since is is after the turbo, but it could be going through the rest of the PCV system and through the air intake.

I capped mine off (from the inlet) and got rid of the 'T' valve.  Such a simple job to do and eliminates any area for boost leaks.  With the Charcoal canister deleted aswell....the area for possible leaks is VERY small.

Yeah I know mate but I'm a tart and don't like fault codes lol.

I'm gonna do what Yohan has done too and run the boost gauge off the redundant pipe on the top of the throttle housing with the aid of a reducer :afro:
