Make up some sort of cold air feed from down by the bumper up to your air box and get a decent panel filter. Or go for the R32 DSG mod.

The 3rd and 4th are the same. I got one in silver and chopped it by battery as it didnt fell to good in the wheel arch (pipes to long). I love it , so much better.

I tried one on mine and it would not fit due to the horns  but they are a worthwhile mod with a better filter.

its a french JR filter cc-07003B .Best mpg i got out of my AGU on motor way was 36+ at 80-110mph ,£40 lasted 213 miles until fuel light came on. Its the sound and extra power i like. It sounds very grunty on full boost (like a nice exhaust)and load DV noise .Lot of people knock it on here and say panel filters are better, all i can say is try it first. I try everything until i find the best for my car. But this is a copy of a £200+ cold air system (i wanted a pipercross vis).  :undecided: but for only £50 its a bargin. £30 for cai kit off ebay ,chop it down and i got a second hand JR filter for £20 off ebay.  The JR filter should be:

one rated up to 250 bhp .The filter i had to use was off set by 20 degrees ,120mm -100mm wide and 140mm long and it has a open end on the filter, and got a 70mm coupling silicon pipe (demonmotorsport)£9.

put a big cold air feed to filter by horn:

If its in your arch i wouldnt trust it, been through big puddles.Mine has oil spray on it /water runs off. As above dont drive through a lake or a river and you will be fine. One bloke at work somehow seizzed a merc sprinter van ,aa got the water out but he bent the rods, god know how he did it. Most of tryed crossing a lake.  :smug:

mines by horn. + lower than alot of the pussys on here and drive everyday. no problem unleas its SUBMERGED kapiche?

+1 :afro:

Also real men seal the hole in the filter box to let the engine drink real water.
