Hi guys
I have been thinking of changing the OEM head unit in my Golf to an uptermarket one, Alpine, Pioneer etc...
Am in the USA until tomorow and was thinking of buying a head unit from here and bringing it back to the UK for installation in my motor.
Will this work? i.e. are they fully compatible??
Thanks

shouldn't see why they'd be any different!

99% sure there different frequencies, and also that us goes in steps of .2 for there frequencies were as we go in steps of .1 (i.e we go 96.6 -96.7 were as us goes 96.5-96.7 or 96.6-96.8 cant remember which) so things like cd player ect i can see working however the radio may not work/may not get as good signal

no mate the frequencies are the same take a look http://www.usliveradio.com/

ah ok, so it is, maybe MW freq thats a bit different, or i could be wrong,
however i still belive they go up in .2's and not .1's like us so you may not get as good signal...

Thanks for the help guys...really appreciate it...
Sounds like the radio frequency may flag issues which could be a prob as i listen to a few MW stations...is it def MW that gives an issue?
Will wiring, fuses, power etc be ok???
Cheers again
