shut it you, mr sports injuries.

losing 2 stone didnt seem to count

cutting down on units drank a week by half didnt count either

and being on my feet all day ( well 75% ) rather than sat on my arse didnt either.

And i even walked round to the Doctors, just not fast enough to cause a shortness of breath

Hey, almost a month now without a ankle/foot going wrong now. Winning.

If you looked at my BMI score I drop in to the morbidly obese catagory. took my resting heart rate this morning. 60bpm so can't be that unfit now can I

You are doing well though. You on the field tonight?

And after all that she  asked why I had actually gone there

lets focus on the positives here which your doc hasn't taken into account...

Overweight - not as much as you were

Smoke - not as much as you did (in fact you gave up for a while so you know you can do it again)

Drink - not as much as you did... weren't you on a bottle of vodka a night at one point?

High Blood pressure - a tad... i don't know your history on this but I guess that its not as bad as it was

Exercise - it would seem yes.. no one can tell me that they don't get warmed up etc by cleaning the car

BMI - just not clinically obese anymore.. which is great news... and you're not morbidly obese so what is the problem

everything here is going in the right direction... I would say that you are on the road to success... if you carry on with your current weight loss then you would have lost 4 stone by the
summer... all you need to do is make a couple more small changes and everything will be tickety boo!

WELL DONE YOU!! :afro:

I've always wondered how people put so much weight on so quick after giving fags up?
My understanding is it takes awhile for the mind to catch up with the body.
More healthy = Appatitie goes up
Being active stays the same = weight gain.
Increase activities as you have more energy, but lungs wont catch up to activity!
I might give fags up with you Chuff and I love fags  :lipsrsealed:

I know a couple who saed the money they used to spend on fags in a tin. They saved around £7000 per year and would spend it on a cruise each year.

Not cheap by the time you buy tips, skins you could look at £8.00 25g of Amber per two days, so £16.00 per week then times by 52 =  1K give or take smoking more?
 Cheaper than packs yeah!
Title: Re: First visit to my New Doctors.
Post by: topher on 27 January 2012, 23:43
i was a 20+ a day smoker of normal fags, but a 25g lasts me almost a week now... amber leaf comes with free papers  120 filters = 75p. Although thats nowhere near as much of a saving as when i quit drinking :lipsrsealed:

You can get three boxes of filter tips at Poundland for................ a pound, they seem the same as any other filters.
Also they sell a box of 9 packets of tobaco papers for a pound.
