help pls...is it worth having a remap on a 1.8 20v non turbo gti??

You will see an improvement in throttle response and a broader power curve.  You obviously won't see massive gains like the turbo cars but it does improve the drive of the car  :smiley:

Peak gains will be between 5-10bhp

what do the 3 stages mean, and do you have to have all 3 done for it to make a difference?

Its more applicable to the turbo cars really but you can do something similar with an N/A but you're looking at uprated cams, full exhaust system etc.  Again the cost for the return isn't really worthwhile as you just won't see the gains
