Nice price around £400 no more or oner per corner!
You plan on powder coating them to match colour as the surface is going to be all alloy?
I would find out the weight of them if they are heavy it might reduce the feel of the steering on a golf Mk2?

A4 loads of power, but saying that it might be a tad too retro what shape A4? get photo shop on it to make sure its a lot of money to get it wrong fella? :lipsrsealed:

It might be worth asking Martz to check these over he must see loads of alloys and knows roughly whats going to be a good bargin.
His user name is Richardturpin reminds me of Dick Turpin

(http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/4696/img1107iu2.jpg) yum yum! They are 18s though and imo look too big, so in theory 17s should be gravy

Funny the ebay pictures on all alloys looks good, but the single picture looks really oval shape maybe its the way he took the pictures but if they stick out more than the lip becareful you might be scrapping them more than others?
Your picture looks good with them on!
Just ask if they have had any knocks if they are bent in anyway I'll be gutted for you after you had bought them!
Another thing mate tyres will cost a bit more than the alloys

Oh I know, the price of tyres makes me gag haha. Plenty of gypo wolfrace alloys out there with decent tyres on though. It always seems easier to buy that way. My mate even buys entire cars just for the tyres, swaps them over then sells the car stating that it failed an pre mot test due to tyre ware or whatever.

sam, are you aware you might have a bolt issue ? :lipsrsealed:

merc alloys are 5 x112 no?
EDIT: Your right chuff they are 5 x 114.2... balls

yep, BUT ( and this is from my passat days ) the holes on the merc wheels can " sometimes " be too small for the audi/VW bolts to fit into. so new bolts have to be used
just summat to consider

Oooo but apparently wobble bolts sort this with no issues. They wont be going on straight away anyhow, suspension to sort first

Took the front wheel off and forgot to take a pic lol so only have rear on, anyhow here is a quick photoshop with roughly a 40mm drop.

Oh and I think it look phat :)

Looks like the right wheel choice fella!
Would like to see low profile and a few mm drop maybe arch hugging lips, if you live with a bit of rubbin

you recon I should run 40s? At the moment they are 45s and Im going to stick some 50s on the rear but they will have a slight stretch possibly
-
Depends what you use the A4? If you drive loads stick with 45's if its pleasure cruisng and show time 40's.
Plus TBH pot holes are pissing me off these days :lipsrsealed:
I'm not a fan of stretch, but as a show piece they look good!
You could still run 45's and tweak the suspension and arch more costly though!
Or lower directly onto 40's either way you will spend on 40's or new suspension set up rolled arches. :undecided:

I probs do around 750 miles a month so will stick with 45s and a 40mm drop. If the arches need doing then they need doing, not too fussed about that to be honest
-
Looking at the current piss poor picture 40's would look better
Nothing worse than having afro tyres
Sorry Sam yanking your chain a bit here!
