just been looking at this (http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=11842&xSec=1110) however it doesent say if it solves the arb rub problem unlike this (http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=3839&xSec=1110) and this (http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=3831&xSec=1110) however the second i arent sure if it will fit.

the first seems good to me for front and rear arb, however no point in me buying this then needing to buy a new front arb because its rubbing on my driveshaft

arb isn't all you need....

roll the arches for starters
Chassis notch (hole in chassis where driveshaft will hit it then welded up)
engine spacers - to raise sump, but mainly to correct driveshaft angle
remove arch liner.
probably shallow sump too
[/quote]

WHAT???? you dont need do any of that, only if your looking to go mega low which he never asked anyway! if your thinking of going mega low and having the chassis nitce done then you might as well lose the front ARB anyway as you lose the drivability of your car

if you are planning to upgrade your ARB then you need
front mk1 audi TT ARB
adjustable droplinks
whiteline rear ARB

job done

Mr rogers you have a pm

and wolverie yeah i know what you mean theres more than just an arb. but gonna go as low as i ca with out having a chasis notch and putting too much stress on ds then see if i want to go lower and if i do then sort things like engine spacers outp

PM sent mcgee9t2. Anywho i had problems with the TT arb i never bought adjustable drop links with it tho just asumed it would be ok with the standard ones. The garage still fitted it anyway and apparently they had to fit the TT droplinks to go with it but still had major rubbing issues. I bought the whiteline arb and the whiteline droplinks, quite a heafty price tag for just a metal bar and droplinks but i think its really worth it and peace of mind that there will be no more rubbing issues and can go as low as the coilies can take just have to watch out for pot holes and mainly any form of rough road surface  or itll be new sump time which it nearly had to be the other day when i forgot about how low i was and decided to start driving down a lane lol

the price is the price simples really no more no less, you must be a moron to pay over the odds at a dealers, and YOU DO need adjustable drop links to fit the TT/S3/LCR/R32 ARB it cannot be fitted with normal mk4 golf drop links as the angle of the drop link is different!

I thought it was aload of waffle at the time aswel mate i used the same garage to fit my whiteline arb and i got a phone call from them saying "The arb is no good that uv bought even with the whiteline droplinks its still rubbing" - and at this point i couldnt believe what they were saying, i was just about to put the phone down and i said "have you fitted it under driveshaft or ontop" (slight pause) "ermm underneith " - then told them to read the bloody instructions that came with it and said "IT FITS ONTOP ON THE DRIVESHAFT"

I'm still to this day wondering what they did actualy do when they fitted the TT arb - but they did say the standard links wont work because there at a funny angle :undecided: god knows tbh!
