Title: Getting old sealant off headlights

Got some spare gti headlight i want to Joey but im having problems getting the old sealant off the glass and casing! Ive tried the usual hosehold stuff and even white spirit but it wont budge! Any ideas guys?

Yeah but it goes gooey so even harder to get off!
