How many times do you go to the gym or excercise etc?
I was going to the gym religiously pre-xmas 4-5 times a week. Since Xmas I've only been to the gym once
TBO I'd rather slam my knob in the car door then go the gym at the moment.... So please motivate me to get back into it FFS!
-
Going to the gym is for vain feckers! 5 a side twice a week, and that constitutes my fitness regime! If u want to get fit, go for a run, or have a sank in the bathroom with door and windows closed and the shower on as hot as it goes.
-
I used to go everyother day, but gotten more into different ways of excercise now, more into riding my bike, walking the dogs, running with my mums dog an weights at home.
Much more enjoyable running outside, even if it is pissing down!
So im not encouraging you to the gym, im encouraging you out of it!

Gym 3 x a week, bike ride once a week.
Joined a new gym after moving house. New gym is only 3 min drive or quick ride away. Being near
makes a big difference for me.

I've been back at the gym since I got the all clear from the Docs in November.
4 nights a week, trying to rebuild my cardio & strength.
-
I was the opposite to you last year. The previous year I went 2-3 times a week.
Fed up of being over-weight and lacking energy so that's my motivation. Now going 3 times a week
-
3 or 4 days a week.
-
none, because i'm a lazy fecker!
-
Never, horrible places. My mates drive to the gym, do some sh!t then drive home, this makes me very angry every time. Run to the fecking gym!

What about traveling back from the gym? If you've had a heavy leg workout, they're likely to be like jelly!
I hate running. I'd much rather cycle if I'm going to do cardio, which is why I drive to the gym. It's easier to get the motivation to leave the house if you're driving to the gym than running too.

5aside once a week and downhill mountain biking at the weekends keeps you in shape
-
once a week as i get it free with college .....
-
I train every day. Either use my gym at home, or train at work doing kata and kumite techniques.
Also train with the chief instructor three times a week.
-
Thanks for the replies. You have all (most of you) shamed me into going to the gym tonight.
It's a hard to find the motivation after a long day at work but no pain no gain I guess!

i used to do rugby training for one team monday(day time) wednesday (day time) and a game on friday (eavening)
for another team tuesday(night) thursday (night) and a game sunday morn pluss a fitness class every two weeks
then taekwondofor my local monday and wed(night, two classes, used to help out teach the less advanced class then participate in the more advanced)
then saturday used to train with the head of world taekwondo then half a hour after that training session a fight taekwando session. plus a few fights when ever there was comps.
then i broke my shoulder and had to have pins and plates put in, meaning i was out for a full season of rugby, and couldnt do taekwando for the best part of a year, during that year i did no excersise and became a lazy buggar, gave up taekwando and tried to get back into rugby but was too unfit. which is my motivation to get back to how i used to be, good toned body, and alot more fitter (to give you an idea of the fitness i used to be at we used to do an 8 miles run as a warm up for one of the rugby teams, now i think ide pass out after 8 metres).
before xmas i used to go 2-3 times a week doing a good session in the gym then hit the pool for 45 mins. after xmas ive been once and thats it, mainly due to the fact that everyones got there health kick on and decided to join gyms meaning the last time i went in there when i got in there was only one machine available so spent 45 mins on there, then 20 mins on weights then gave up because i couldnt be bothered to wait any longer so went for a hour long swim, now im proberbly not going to go untill mid feb due to the fact that i hate waiting for machines.

Well I made it to the gym after work. I feel a bit better for it already.
Managed a 20 min run and 30 mins on the bike.
I'm 40 next year and my aim is to be fitter at 40 then 30. Yep the mid life crisis has started!
I feel motivated to go again tomorrow now!

P90x...anyone tried it? No doubt if you followed you would get extreme results...very intense. You would need to be motivated to put yourself through it
-
Take up shagging, no gym needed.
I've never been to the gym in my life and never needed to thanks to the constant attention from buxom young women*
*The first part of the sentence is true however the rest of it may have been invented!!

I purposely now go to the gym on a Friday or Saturday evening to stop me from going to the pub  I need to cut down the booze and get fitter so in theory it's a win win  Probably...
