Post by: tigerj360 on 25 January 2012, 14:21

I want a VW again

It's not selling as it's overpriced, not being funny, about £1200/£1400 would be what I'd be looking to pay for that.

My girlfriends stepdad only paid £300 for an 02 plate 1.8 Astra Sri with 45k on the clock and full history, paid the same for an 04 megane £500 for an 02 clio 172. He sold the Astra for £1100 seeing as yours is a year newer I'd say it's worth a bit more, but I think you'll struggle to get near 2k for it, hope you do though.

Thanks mate sounds like your dad was getting absolute bargains!

I think realisticly I'm looking around the £1500 - £1600 margin. May just wait till I'm 21 in May and save up some pennys

I think I would get fed up going for petrol in that! Not sure my insurance company would be happy either
