Seems like it was only on loan at the time of the crash.

Thats crazy, this site claims it was at 1:50am as well
What kind of speeds would he have to be doing to destroy the car like that?!

I like how they describe it as being a £40k 'supercar'

Either way, the driver was clearly speeding and/or driving dangerously, lets hope he is treated in the same way anyone else would be!

Lets be honest, that is not going to happen, not sure if anyone else remembers the pc who got caught doing 157mph I believe he got away with it, sad really but I suspect this will be swept under the carpet etc and he will keep his job.

Uh oh....interesting that the rozzers are using Golfs as undercover cars now, when that R spec pulls up behind me I'll just have to drop down 2 gears, instead of 1, for the quick get away

Looks pretty easy to negotiate, don't see how you could mangle it that badly.
After all, speed doesn't kill, it's driver ineptitude and the sudden stop that does the damage.

The M3 has a R32 patrolling it and quite a few other pretty quick undercover cars!

They were testing the car out.  Although, for your information, the road he totalled it on is a 30mph zone!

The manchester police have a few undercover 8P S3's already, no idea why they were testing its sister version?
