Hi again all got the match today turns out shes a 1994 with 95k on the clock. If i cant get the issue with 2nd gear sorted (think it maybe the linkage ) im thinking of putting a gti lump and box in. How much effort is envoled plus is it simple plug and play or do i need to change wireing loom etc, and also if any of you helpfull chaps have any engines and boxs that your getting shot of please let me know .

Not worth the hassle or work, so much needs changing that the swap is not worth it for the gains you will get back.

so you have a 1.4 and want to swap engine to a 2.0? if so i just did something similar to mine (1.6 to 2.0) and if you can source a donor car i dont think its much of a trouble and i see the parts there are actually nice then here so if you need some pointers just let me know, cheers
