-
More than welcome always like some new blood . Anyway the new Polo is a baby Golf (almost)

Hah. Closest forum I could find. I think we're naming her Dory.
She's a 1.2 TSI. Surprisingly quick to be honest. I take delievery Wed.
She's:
1.2TSI SEL
Candy white
17" BoaVista alloys
Leather pack
Front fogs
Rear spoiler
iPod dock
Armrest
Midline onboard computer
Pretty happy overall.

Similar spec to the one we have for the missus, it is surprisingly nippy with its baby turbo
Nice choice, and welcome

Man flu??? Pah. I've just had a tooth out!!!
Even that was nothing compared to the journey home with my Dad driving my car.

Your very welcome here

My wife recently part-ex'd her white Polo 1.2TSI SEL with 17" Boavistas for a White Polo GTI. The 1.2TSI is a cracking engine and makes the Polo a suprisingly quick car. I used to drive it a lot and it gave quite a few cars expecting to out accelerate it a bit of a shock!

Yup...agree there.
My mother has the 1.2TSI in a Fabia and it's surprisingly perky.
Impressive for such a small engine.

Why Dory?
Not too sure to be honest. We were thinking Nemo, but then thought Dory - maybe because it's only a little 1.2 but just keeps going.
"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming"
Yes, I am sad.

Sounds like a great little car. Although I'm going to have to ask if there is 2 types of 1.2 on sale? :undecided:
I had a 1.2 Polo courtesy car and there definitely wasn't a turbo on it.
Really like the new Polo's.
And you're more than welcome.

Yeah there is. The 1.2 3cyl and the 1.2 4cyl TSI (turbo)

Picked her up today! Well impressed.
Although as I was sat in the dealership with my partner, some tool scratched the bumper with his car and drove off!
VW are fixing it tomorrow first thing and I get a Polo GTI with DSG as a courtesy car.
Oh and we got a bunch of flowers as a thankyou.
TOP NOTCH service!

Blimey, a bunch of flowers you must be honoured as all I got was to be asked that I leave decent remarks about the salesman and dealership.
-
The GTI will get the neighbours curtains twitching. Pity you can't keep it.
-
Ah, that makes sense, because the 1.2 3 cylinder I had was anything but brisk. Girlfriend's 1.0 3 cylinder Corsa is was quicker.
That's a bit annoying about someone hitting the car but not a bad resolution. If you know the guy you could ask him to pop back round and scratch the bumper again when it's time to give the GTI back.

Congratulations and welcome. I really like the Polo and hope you enjoy yours. It's a bit of a sickener that some *@#%*¥€# scraped your bumper and didn't have the decency to stop. Candy white should be an easy colour to match - Hope the dealer does a decent repair job.
I also got good service from my dealer; very regular updates between ordering and taking delivery; never needed to chase them up for an update. Also got a bottle of champagne and (another) VW umbrella when I picked up my car last July. It's not the closest VW dealer to my home but I've dealt with them for 10 years and would rather travel the extra distance to get good service.
Enjoy your car and post some pictures up soon

Good little engine, I test drove an Ibiza with a 1.2 TSI.
-
The GTI is F**KING AWESOME.
OH MY GOD. SERIOUSLY IN LOVE RIGHT NOW.
-
lol, you are going to hate your car now, when you get it back

I'm not going to hate it. It just seriously needs a remap after this! Haha.

Looks really nice and quite sporty looking. The Polo's really suite CW imo.
That car looks perfecrt also for a few cosmetic mods.
How much was the car if you don't mind me being nosey!

They are nice looking car, just like a mini Golf. Enjoy it

Was supposed to be £16,500.
Got them down to £16,100 - or £13,500 minus trade ins.

Yeah looks identical.
Step 1: Rear windows tinted
Step 2: Alloys re-finished in black
Step 3: Re-Map (possibly.)
Step 4: GTI Grille (with TSI badge.)
Step 5: GTI steering wheel. (possibly.)
That's my plans so far.
