Title: Edition 35 vin
Post by: Belix on 23 January 2012, 20:08
Anyone help me with a Ed 35 VIN? Need it to see what bits I need for a front bumper swap. Does not need to be yours if you're concerned (but what else could I do with a VIN anyway?)
I needed an R VIN and went round the parking lot till I found an R, then got the VIN through the view bit in the front window, but we have no Ed35 here, so hoping someone you side can help and PM me one?

You don't need a VIN number. The registration number should be sufficient. You ought to be able to get them from the VW approved used web site, or photos of peoples cars that they have posted without hiding the number plates.

thanks, but I think UK plates would limited to the UK. Locally I've never heard of a dealer getting a VIN or parts via a reg number - perhaps your dealers are linked to MOT. Ours are not. Anyway, no stress, we get our Ed35s in another 2 months, will just have to wait it out or just get a normal bumper skin

WVWZZZ1KZCW024959 seems valid! not for a PDC model, but should be easy enough to work that small difference out.
