There was a converted golf on ebay recently with all the kit bar the batteries and controller.... I bet the batteries last even less time than they would here with all that cold weather lol.

Check out http://currentevtech.com/cart.html if you want to price a system up. Its not cheap to do well!

omg! heaters work and the power steering! he's thought of everything. Still alot cheaper than the ever uninspiring prius or leaf!
