i would like to know how much work is in fitting a 1.8t AGU into a mk1 cab..
i know you would need the loom ect but what running gear would you use is there any company's that make conversion mounts or will i have to fab some up? (i have a welder)
will there be much wiring involved?
is there any chip in the key and ecu that have to match?
if anyone has some links etc that will be really good :)
cheers

Going to move this to the mk1 section as I doubt you'll find many mk4 owners have done this

well with your skills should take about 10mins, theres plenty of info out there especially on mk1oc generally the gti shell is better as you dont have to weld mounts. there are ready made mounts available but i think these may only be required if your using the mk4 g/box. 100mm driveshafts from later cabby are required. looms can be bought ready made rubjohnny makes them pm him on here or clubgti.
now days altho time consuming it not as difficult as all the problems have been solved and answers are out there. look on here, mk1oc, and club gti.
dont forget to upgrade brakes and suspension to take the hike in power
