indicators!
also managed to wire in the sub! even with the sh!tty stereo that is in there!
also sorted the clutch problem! someone has tightened the cable to full! so only had 2cm of free space before the bite
lows needed...
-
LOL
1 - why?
2 - I have a soft spot for these, would be cool with a seat cupra front end
What's your plans?
-
This should make for an interesting project! Getting rid of the VR for this though?! Your gonna miss the power dude! I like the Cupra front end idea though, do it!

well here we go.
1. i sold the vr6 due to the cost while I'm at uni, and unfortunately broke up with the mrs who i used to use her car, but had to give it back obviously, wanted another looked at few mk2's but decided against it, seen this and though why not reliable 1.9tdi cheap insurance and brilliant on the juice, and thought it was comical
not seen many of these cars slammed on some nice banned steelies, so though why not try summit i aint seem.
2. never seen a seat front end mod so will check it out!
3. plans
lows
banned steels or something nice on its feet!
possibly murder it up
shall see how it goes, like i said not seen many of these before so its gonna be a trial and error thing.

sounds like a good enough reason mate,
as long as you don't matt black it, lower it and put window cleaning ladders on, then I don't mind
I 'Knew' some one that had a caddy van and put a seat front end on, I'l see if I can find a pic...

I think that's definitely worth thinking about, I don't think Seat ever did an estate...............
-
food for thought
-
I was gonna get a Caddy but i settled on a Primastar. I researched doing the swap quite a bit, its all straight swap and all the stuff is always floating about on good old fleabay :)

^^^^ Nicer wheels and that one would look sick!
-
I basically had one of these about 5 years ago, well i say 'basically' as it was actually a Seat Cordoba estate TDI. It was only ever supposed to be a workhorse for my chippie tools but it was well looked after and drove so well that i inevitably ended up modding it gently and using it all the time. Some 16'' wheels, lowering springs, debadging and a dollop of extra boost ensued but unfortunately were followed by a mother fvcker ploughing a scabby old transit van into the front of it whilst it was parked outside my mates house. Bye bye Cordoba, hello fat insurance payout and Polo G40.
-
I like it. All the potential. :D

extra boost is sounding tempting.

Seat front end actually looks pretty good on that red one. Shame I've only just read this thread - breaking an Ibiza but all of the front end/panels went on Sunday :undecided:

hmm possible just not sure how to narrow it down without taking whole gearbox and clutch apart..

With it been a TDI isn't it a cable shift set up like the mk3 Golfs?

Can't stop laughing
Any how...are you to get it sprayed or going to roller it with weather shield house paint?
-
Well this is certainly something away from the norm.. first prize goes to you if you can make the ghastly rear end it came with into something attractive.

I'm quite a fan of the rear end.
to be fair I'm giving up on it considering after my brother borrowed the car other day the front left wheel managed to fall clean off. leaving 2 shaved bolts still in the hub..
-
No way!
Keep at it, don't loose faith in this, something so different
-
A lad on a local forum has done his Mk3 estate a similar colour:

Its awsome in the metal, (or lack of it in some cases!). He really has put alot of effort into it, and the attention to detail is great on parts. He also has a Corrado in the process of being ratted.
