Im Dave, and ive just bought a Mk2 Golf GTI.

Its a '91 5dr in Pearl Grey. 8v, although at sometime in its life its had a Corrado bottom end and gearbox chucked in it.
Its also running GTI engineering RE2000 inlet/injection.

Im having some problems with it, though, it sounds like its a common one so all may not be lost.

Anyway, hope to glean enough knowledge from this place to keep another old car on the road.

I've stuck a thread in the mk2 section about my little issue, but I've taken it to my mates garage in the hope we can get it sorted for tomorrow anyway.

I'll grab some pics of it when I get it back.
