I'm about to do all my filters and oil and need a bit of info. I've never done a fuel filter before but have been told it is best to fill the new one with new diesel or a diesel treatment to ensure the system won't need bleeding. Is this correct and if so is it best to just use diesel or a diesel treatment?

tip diesal into the filter
-
Old diesel or new diesel? Should I be able to tip it in from the old one if old diesel is ok?

just tip the diesel from the old filter into the new one

I've never done any of that; remove old filter; stick new filter in and hey presto; fires up first time
