Need to buy one like above (well, any kart trolley), however I don't justify paying £50+ for what is 3 wheels and a few metal bars. Can anyone think of a better alternative to wheel my kart around the pits? Something obviously safe and stable with chunky tyres (outside of the pits it's gravel).
-
Oh and it needs to fold/dismantle as I'll need to put it in the back of the golf!
-
wheelbarrow
-
could always build something like this
(http://buggies.builtforfun.co.uk/Images/Trailer/t-no-walls-full.jpg)
not sure how much karts way so may have to make out of metal bars...but could be an idea

Needs to be reasonably high to work on the kart comfortably. Also it'd slide off when moving it about. Did think about it though.
Kart weights about 85kg, give or take 5kg in fuel.

I had the same thought after getting my rotax a coupl of years ago. In the end it just ended up costing the same for everything I could think to fabricate something similar, to what it would cost for a second hand trolley specifically for karts!

Does that not just look like and ironing board without the board on lol or failing that a keyboard stand

Yeah I'm afraid that's what it does look like I'll end up doing, but ask here because there might be something obvious/not so obvious that I may have missed out and could be a decent alternative!

was gonna suggest something like this (http://www.theonlinecatalog.com/advancedhandling/store/LiftsLiftingEquipment/HYDRAULICELEVATINGCART/)too
cause we have one at work for moving things around and can lift quite alot with it, however there quite expensive as it seems.
tbh unless you build something your self simelar to what you linked up to ebay i cant see you getting anything cheeper, unless you nik one of those trolleys from b+q were they dont have the sides :D
-
Modify a cheap golf caddy?

That's be good, but again expensive.

Don't think they're strong enough to support a kart

Try www.ukkarting.co.uk I got the same one that you posted. Paid £30 for mine.
And you want big wheels and tyres like that one because, the small ones always get stuck in mud and gravel.

Yup I check the market place often but can never seem to find one! And when I do they're all right up north and only collection.
-
Ask anyone selling stuff if they also got a spare Reilly to sell

But karts are faster
-
One on the bay with removeable uprights in Bournemouth, wants £20 delivery but might be worth an offer for collection?

And Rotax which is what I'll be racing will hit 70mph on a short straight. It depends on gearing, but it can hit speeds of 80+.

That front wheel will get stuck in mud a gravel. Good luck with it
Crackin!

And get some plates on the end of that bar. Your kart will slide off
-
There's no mud at clay. Pits lead straight to either tarmac or gravel.
-
But thinking about it, I am having doubts on that trolley.
-
Did you bother in the end?
-
Nope  still got a month or so until I need one, so still time yo look for one I'll be happy with.
-
Prob best to make your own up, to your specs. Put room for some storage on it too :)
I wish they did something like that for an F3 car, pushing them around the with a stupidly big turning circle :o

It's called wheel dollys
I would make my own, but I haven't got access to a welder, nor do I know anyone with welding skills or a welder.

I have a mig welder and can weld. It cost more to make one than buying a second hand one

Well, if you can find a decent base you can always add wheels easily and cheaply

Did you not do design at college/Uni?
Design one, buy the material, get forum dude to make it, pick up from forum dude, exchange funds, share a bevy, UK limit 35mg in breath , drive home, play with kart and stand, market new Khart stand, make millions, remember me when you are loaded.

Would rather buy one for £40 in that case
