Title: Is this a fair price?
Post by: BOGGLE on 16 May 2005, 21:33
Going to look at a 96 P mk3 GTI colour concept tomorrow for the mrs.  It's got 55k and full history etc.  It's even got her initials on the plate (bonus).  The guy had it up for just under 4k (trade) but tells me he'll take £3650.  Here's a pic of it.

Me and the mrs are posl .  Her name is Emily, so Mix is the winner for being the closest (however she will now be known by me as Ethelbert)

I'll let you know how it goes

So we went all the way to Maidenhead today to look at this car having spoken to the dealer on the phone.  He stated that the bodywork was in great order and that it was a minter.  We drove 100 miles down there to find that the car was a bit of a sh1ter and the to55er wouldn't drop the price further having made us drive all that way (i even asked him on the phone to be honest as i'd be pi55ed off if i got there and it was crap)

So needless to say we didn't buy it and i quickly showed the dealer my car and explained that when someone asks if it's mint then it should look something like mine and not like his bag of sh!te.

(The company is Berkshire BMW)

/me puts suggestion hat on

I would like to propose a trip to his dealership with about 12kg of sugar and some nails.

The sugar for obvious reasons for all the tea we are going to drink  :lipsrsealed:

The nails if placed properly under tyres will give him a rather nice large bill to pay as soon as he moves the cars on the forcourt.

Oh i would like to volunteer my services to leave him a nice steamer ( and i am not talking of the car cleaning/vegetable cooking kind) on his door step and forecourt windows.

All in favour say AYE
