Title: Damp passenger foot-well?
Post by: general_piffle on 18 January 2012, 21:43
What's that all about then? I was cleaning the car the other day and took out the rubber baked mat in the passenger foot-well. I noticed that a patch of the carpet (a fairly large patch about the size of a hand print) was damp underneath the mat. The dampness had def come from under the carpet and not from wet feet through the mat as it was dry on top. What could that be then?

Do a good search on here Mate and it could be either a blocked sunroof drainage hole, a blocked wing drainage hole (under scuttle panel) or a blocked pollen filter or leaking heater matrix.....the list goes on.

Thanks fella will check out what you've just suggested. Have done a few searches with the words 'drainage' 'damp' but the only post coming up was this one, lol.

Found it! Interior wetness the thread is called. Thought it was some dodgy porn with a title like that but no such luck, lol.
