Title: OEM Bluetooth - Voice Control?
Post by: DDg on 18 January 2012, 20:54
I was part of SteveP's recent group buy for oem blutooth and it works great, but the other day I noticed a button on the screen marked 'EXTRAS'.   Hitting it just brings up a load of 'greyed out' (i.e. unselectable) options including Voice Control.   Anyone know how to get this to work?   It's through an RCD-510 if that makes any difference

Thx in Advc.

Im sure you can't do it through the rcd it must be the rns for voice control.

Did you code it with VCDS?

What year is your car?

I had a nagging feeling that was the case, thanks p3asa.

It's Sep '09 Doc. The car was coded when I fitted a Fiscon unit a couple of years ago, so fitting the oem was plug & play.

I can do voice control of dialling e.t.c and Bluetooth A2DP music no RNS with RCD510. Depends on the module fitted.
