Hi mate

The only reason I didnt push for the 35 inserts was the fact that they would sit next to the kick plates. I thought it might look like a '35' overload? Thanks once again for mine!

Hi guys,

I can see the point of having the seat inserts opposite to having a blank...
I am confused about ordering the footrest...to my knowledge it comes with a "racy" footrest or am I looking at the wrong pics...please advise....love to spend some more money on the GTI

Right hand drive cars only get a basic plastic foot rest not the metal one left hand drive cars get.

ahhh that figures...I get a metal footrest...

Never really understand why each country gets a different standard GTI (with the exception of eg. extra heating in cold countries).

What kind of money are they ?

I would be interested in getting 1 from Gulfstream11.  I recently got my seat inserts from him and I was impressed with the parts and how quickly I received them.

Get the strongest double sided tape you can get, something that is a little playable so it moulds to the dimples on the foot rest or as the wife calls it, the fart pedal. I used 3M tape and its done the trick, obviously make sure both surfaces are clean, a bit of autosol metal polish does the job. Once taped and in place I found the next way to get even pressure on it was to use my foot, simple but it worked cos you can get plenty of purchase from pushing against the seat.

Hope this helps?

P.s. I've just bought some no nails double sided tape in the house and that looks like decent stuff too?

I bolted my footrest on with the recessed Allen bolts that came with it and it looks good, used tape for my seat inserts though.
