I have the original Bi Xenons, and with all the talk of LED rear number plate which I have just ordered, but wondering what people were doing with the side lights. Are people converting them to LED or just changing to a whiter light.
Mine currently look like this, but look more yellow than the pic shows.

They are 501 or w5w type bulbs. Make sure you get can bus friendly ones to avoid bulb out warnings on the dash!

Something like this then?

Well I bit the bullet and ordered a set of LED Side lights

I am happy with the results, went for 5 LED's so they were not to bright. What do people think?

Looks good, much better than the yellow candle look
Looks like they match the Xenons perfectly..

Looks superb mate, if I had xenon's I'd be buying those for sure.

Much better! First thing I done when I got my Golf. No problems with bulb out warnings?

No errors when I tested after and when I was using the car yesterday.
I was not sure how bright to go and how many LED's would be best. I think they are about as bright as standard and got those as they looked about the right size.
