Title: Corrado cams on MK3 16v ?!
Post by: timmy7hands on 16 January 2012, 18:20
Hi all!

Right, now first off i'm not the most mechanically minded dub driver, so this might be bloody stupid.

I have been informed that a set of Corrado 1.8 16v (higher lift?!) cams will fit my 2.0 16v abf head.
Is this true, how hard is it to do, and what difference would it realistically make?

Any advice or help greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Won't make much difference at all. The big gain that you've been told about is for KR cams (1.8 16v in early corrado, and mk2 16v engines), into the 9a (2.0 16v) lump found in later corrados. Will go from standard 135 bhp to 155 - 160 bhp with a remap, headwork and tune.
