Yes they are genuine BUT they are refurbed Monza II's not Monza shadows.

Also with them having no valve's some Monza II's require metal valves only available from VW which will set you back another £50 ish!

Thanks for the reply....what's the difference between monza2 and monza shadows?? And how can you tell they've been refurbed?

Thanks
Steve

The part number on the wheel in the pic is from a Monza II which should have a grey insert so it's been refurbed at sometime as it's now got a black insert.

Nice to see your socks matching the holes in the wheels - genuine VW GTI socks?

Definately not, you'll need to buy some decent tyres (maybe metal valves@£50 also) so could end up costing you £1200 for some refurbed monza's II's.

What description did he put in the ad for the alloys?

They are definitely genuine but could be around 5 years old

This is the back of one of my old (genuine) Mk V GTi 18" Monzas (March 2006 model)

If they've all been fully refurbed, and done well, with no other marks, I agree they're worth around £500, or perhaps a littlle more if they were just what you're looking for

My wheels did'nt need the expensive metal valve btw
