ARGH my mates broke my door pins! how the hell do i change them!? plz help
Dan

which ones? the ones you pull up to lock/unlock or the pin the door catches on? if its the plastic lock ones, they un screw. if its the metal catch pins, they un screw!!! the catch ones have a nut on the inside so you'll have to take your rear door cards off to hold the nut in place and to attatch the new one. how the hell did he break whatever he broke?
-
I am always breaking the pins that you pull up to unlock/lock, because i am tall the chair is right back and when the window is down and its sunny i put my arm back and then next thing i know there is no top for the door pin anymore. I did make some new ones from aluminium, but they were lost in the other valver i crashed.

As said they simply unscrew. Peice of piss tbh.

yeah slick i get the same as cos im tall and mine is a 5door i have to look out the back window when turning left/right to see if its clear

so where do i unscrew and sorry it was the lock/unlock ones. were both tall. lol and he was slighty pished!!! is there a guide or anything?
-
sorry don't know which you mean!!! the little plastic ones? they just screw onto a wire that goes to the locking mechanism
-
just literally unscrew them... hold the pin, or whats left of it and turn it anti clockwise. Should screw off, leaving you with a bit of metal to screw the new ones onto. Unless of course i have the wrong end of the stick or they are more screwed than that!
-
no it really is that simple!! you'd think it would be obvious!
-
Wot happens if theres not metal?! lol on the drivers side there is no pin but no metal either?!
-
 You get out the haynes manual, remove the door card and work out what needs to be replaced!
