I know this is minor but since putting the reply on about my keyring and the fact that I had to pay for, a few of you have said that it should've been issued as part of the spec. Now my dealer is playing silly buggers and i'm like a dog with a bone . He has now challenged me to find the part number so i'm wondering if anyone has it?
Thanks

Nice one Lee. My dad works for Inchcape (Head office) and I bought my Rocco from Steve Hunt in fleet. Mention Bob Thompson (Dad) and I'm Neil.
-
So do these definatly come standard with the ed35 and if so how many ? I never got one with mine  but i think i would feel a bit sad if i rang up and complained about a keyring, even thou i really want want one
-
I'm gonna guess its just one due to the cost. I feel a bit daft too but sod it, its the little things that matter!

You've paid however much for the car so you're at least entitled to everything that should come with the car as standard!! Even if it is only a keyring!
You get fcuk all else from the dealers (majority) otherwise

Well done to Lee for posting the part number up and making us all fall off our chairs at the price.
How much for a keyring? How much... ? Streuth.
Kick up a stink Ed 35 boys and girls and make sure you get them thrown in.
£24.00

Looks like they end up on Ebay, just like the bottle openers did

That's out of order - the dealer challenging you to find the part number. Whether it's part of the standard spec or not, I'd expect any dealer worth their salt to at least give you the part number and, if they don't know it, find out.
This type of unhelpful attitude doesn't do VW any favours. It's a good thing that there are people like Lee (evo1986) around that can be relied upon.

I know it's only a keyring but if it wasn't in the ed35 package as standard I still would a probably bought it at that price....I paid £12 for my gtd keyring so it's only £12 more....just my opinion of course!

Typical, you thrifty Diesel owners get yours for half price!!
Even £12 is a rip off for a key ring. You pay nearly £30,000 for a bloody shopping car and they charge you extra for a keyring... I feel a rant coming on... Grrr

£24!!!! WTF. I was given one by my dealer when I got my GTD. On my way out to my car, I passed the glass cabinet filled with various GTI stuff...
Me - "mmm, thats nice".
Dealer - "they're standard with the Ed35 you know. Here, take one".
Its currently still in its box in a draw at home. £24, I might insure it now...
Detritus.

That will be worth a small fortune on Edition 38 in a few years time.

Sorted! Dealer confirmed that he had a key ring for me to collect along with some other customers that he sold a 35 to.

Quite a lot of discussion about a keyring, I suppose if it's part of the spec it should be there. I'm due to pick my car up on Saturday, so will see if it's there..if not I'm not paying £24 of ebay thats for sure...

'Fuzzywizzy' or something has just reminded me, so thought I should post an update. Dealer has sorted this out with full apologies!

Maybe he'd read this thread and shat himself.
Still can't get over the cost of the f###ing thing.

No I phoned him a few days before I picked up the car and said remember the keyring and ensure the bluetooth package is fitted...
