hellomate... nice to hear from you!
cheers for the link...interesting stuff... BUT,
i have a mk3 golf, a 1.6. its not a VR6. my current 14" (dont laugh) steel wheels have four bolts.
most web sites seem to think it should have 5? whats the story?
any recommendations on size?
my last car, a fiat bravo 2.0l 20v had 15"s as standard... are 15"s or 16"s best suited? or even 17" wooo!!!!????

Welcome to the world of mk3's, ignore the mk2 boys they are only jealous

My Mk 3 has 17x8 wheels with 215/40 tyres. Anything bigger than that wont fit without mods.
Too expensive to change to 5 bolt. Unless you are really handy and like hard work! And can be bothered to get some cheap hubs from a scrappy!
Most alloys will be available in 4 bolt and the correct PCD for your car.
Glad you chose a Mk 3 - welcome mate.
Anything else just ask, someone here will have an idea.
