i am currently suspended from work because i was in the same room as someone stealing so i am automatically a suspect somehow :S anyway i was told when i was suspended it was completely confidential and only the three managers would know about it. somehow some of the general staff know :S so i am in my right to complain to the head office of the company aren't i ?? gunna sue their asss ;) naa but if they want to be pathetic i can be too :) they aint gonna get off lightly :) who do i contact ?
-
Corse your a suspect, were you talking to that person before hand? Even 30mins before this other person concealed/stole. You could be conspiring together. Who knows and as a precaution you were suspended. Im hoping with full pay?
How do you know it was any of the 3 managers that told some of the general staff? Couldn't the other general staff figure out two have been suspended and one was caught stealing? 2+2=4
-
as above, wouldnt bother saying sh!t to anyone tbh. will most likely come back round to bite you in the ass...
you moan to head office, they talk to your managers. then your managers will be giving you sh!t for god knows how long for moaning about them
might aswell just say nothing bud, UNLESS, you here or know of a manager b!tching/blaiming you etc behind your back. then definitely say something

so who you gonna sue exactly? what are you going to sue them for and do you have any proof?
so you knew about someone stealing and you didn't tell anyone?
-
You're innocent.
You've nothing to worry about.
-
From memory, you're quite young? An thats not insult im just saying when i was young i had something similar happen to me and i was livid that i'd be accused of something like thieving, when it was the parts manager being dodgy, but because i worked in the same department and had unkowingly delivered the part i was also suspended. A week on full pay and then back to work with an apology.
These days its standard procedure to suspend people who may be involved, dont worry about it to much dude, all comes out in the wash!

Free week off work on full pay.
That's what I was thinking! Then maybe a few weeks off with stress afterwards as you found it difficult to cope with the situation of being suspended and your workmates knowing about it...
-
yeh full pay :) but the other bloke said i did it so they could use his evidence
-
It'll be up to them to prove you're guilty. Innocent until proven guilty.
Make sure you know your rights, right to representation, union rep, so on and so forth.
-
In situations like these I always stay relaxed. Why should I worry?
Then once you're proven innocent, then screw the other guy over as best you can.
-
If you have nothing to worry about then don't. Why is the other guy saying you were in on it? What was the situation?
-
Yeah, details and location of said crime
-
basically where i work there are two stock rooms i was in one of them with another member of staff who admitted to stealing sweets and because i was in the same stock room i guess they assumed i did it too.

At worst - Detention. Or you might get off with 100 Lines..
"I must not steal from the Tuck Shop"
-
And there was me thinking there was £1000's of stock stolen..

Your happy to broadcast on a forum that you have been suspended from work because they think your a thief, but you are thinking of trying to take legal action because your work mates now know :undecided:

and over some sweets.... seriously get real mate. just say nothing and go back to work when you can
-
^^^^^^^^^^^ as above
if your innocent then take it on the chin, i would just look at is as a week to work on the car
-
You're innocent.
You've nothing to worry about.
Good advice, moaning and b!tching generally gets you a job with the government JSA department.
If you are innocent then behave like it and get on with life
-
got sacked because i knew someone stole something. tbh im quite happy might be skint for a bit but id rather that than work for arseholes :)

If you knew someone stole something then that is gross misconduct, or otherwise known as asking for it.....
lesson learned move on
-
i know it is :) but im not gunaa tell on my friends the people i have to work with :)

this will get you absolutely nothing in life. business is business.
-
I agree with the above business is business f**ked if I'd lose my job to protect some thieving scumbag
-
the way i have explained it doesn't make it sound how it actually was but it too hard to explain the full story. there is one team leader who has something against certain members of team and he used the CCTV to find stuff they could discipline us for.

Thats what cctv is for......
If your boss is cnut and wants to get at you, keep your nose clean and change your job.
Being sacked for thieving will seriously impede further career progress. :lipsrsealed:
-
i didnt get sacked for thieving...
-
Well they didnt sack you for doing a little dance every morning!
Theres obviously a lot more to it than can be put on here but lesson learned. Stealings stealing, someoje who steels is a cnut, you got sacked for cool points basically.
Good luck on the job hunt dude
Must be jobs at Parkway or festival place going
-
yeh applied for the new John Lewis :)
and thanks everyone as well :)
-
i didnt get sacked for thieving...
As good as, but good luck and be more careful next time
-
Ah but did they sack you properly?!
Who suspended you? Who did the investigation into the alleged crime?
Surprised they're not going down civil recovery!
-
they just said we need to terminate your contract as you breached company policy :)
-
they just said we need to terminate your contract as you breached company policy :)
what part of it? you didnt steal anything. they cant expect you to grass up anyone for stealing. id get legal advice, wrongful dismission.
-

theyll just say its gross miss conduct probably.he should of reported it, he didnt, end
good luck finding a new job bud
-
If whoever stole is above you in 'the chain' surely its not up to you to diciplin/question their actions? Between a rock and a hard place comes to mind

but no proof really, just as he was there doesnt mean he knew whay was going on.
saying that, most companies wouldnt be daft enough to sack someone if they thought they had nothing to back it up
-
some would :lipsrsealed:
