Title: Running issue with G reg 1.8 8V fuelling??
Post by: busterdub on 11 January 2012, 22:32
hi all
got a G reg 1.8 8v gti (PB)  the problem is when driving along and changing gear, up or down the revs die almost to the point of stalling then bounces up to 1000 rpm if at a stop it will idle there fine (a tad lumpy but ok) i have notice towards the end of journey tonight when crusing... say just touching the accel pedal to keep speed it feels as its struggling, also must wants to stall but put your foot down and shes off no problems

any ideas????

throttle body micro switch for  throttle closed position- could be faulty or have a broken wire?  Has it been retuned recently, i.e. idle and CO setup?

only pick it up last night, it has been stood for a while, don't think it has been retuned but will check the switch first
